PPU Organized an Innovation&employment marathon day.

Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU), Hebron - Palestine

Palestine Polytechnic University Innovation and Technology Transfer Center (PPUITTC) in cooperation with the Center of Entrepreneurship and Career Development (CECD) had organized an Innovation and Employment Marathon for PPU Graduates and Graduate Students, Through STEP Project "Strengthening Universities - Enterprise Linkages in Palestine", funded by TEMPUS - European Union, and implemented by An-Najah National University in partnership with the University.

The marathon had collected a number of participants from Public-Private sector enterprises, a number of supporting institutions in the field of education and innovation, in addition to a variety of Academics, Researchers and Students from different academic institutions.

This marathon aimed at providing employment opportunities of PPU graduates in Engineering, IT and Technical programs through career interviews conducted by participated enterprises, in addition to introducing a number of Innovative graduation projects of undergraduate students in order to reinforce the role of Applied Research in community services and meeting the needs of the Palestinian labor market as well.

Graduates had appeared a positive and enthusiastic behavior for giving them an opportunity to find a career, were the participating enterprises expressed their highly interest in the quality and efficiency of the graduates have been observed during job interviews, and the extent of technical and professionalism anticipated in students innovative projects.

At the end; Dr. Aiman Soltan Tamimi (Director of PPUITTC) had deeply thanked all the companies and supporting institutions for their participation, and also extended his gratitude to the organizers of the marathon, including PPU administration and EU Project representatives for their financial and logistical continuous support.
